States of Matter!

In Room One we have been learning about states of matter: solids, liquids and gasses. We have been doing lots of experiments to see how materials changes state when heated and cooled. Have a look at the fun we have been having...

We filled gloves with liquid water and they froze into solid ice!

We poured salt onto the ice hand, we heard it cracking and it started to melt.

We made ice blocks to explore the differences between Juice in solid and liquid state.

We poured hot water onto an ice hand to watch it melt to liquid. It didn't disappear, it just changed state.
