ASB Aquatic Centre Trip

The Junior syndicate went on a trip to the ASB Aquatic Centre. We had so much fun and learned so much about water safety, take a look!
Here we are learning to stay together in an emergency.

We learnt to tread water and swim through hoops.

We had fun in the wave pool!

We practised jumping off a 'sinking ship' wearing life jackets.

We put big shirts on to see that it is hard to swim in clothes.

We learnt about boat safety. We learnt to always wear a life jacket, to take a form of communication and to bail out water from the boat.

Here we are rescuing swimmers 'in danger'. We stood on the rope when we threw it and pulled the swimmers to safety.

We never get in the water to help rescue a swimmer in trouble, we use ropes or something else available to us.

It was a great trip and we want to thank the ASB Aquatic Centre teachers for teaching us so many skills, and our parents for helping out on the day!!
